This Week (Its Tuesday so I am so late)

So this week was not a busy week. I can't even think of anything specific I did besides going to the dentist. And the Hubby went New York City for the weekend.

I love going to the dentist. It is where I excel. :) I have good teeth what can I say. :)

So having the Hubby gone for the weekend was lonely. Quinn whined a lot. She likes us to be home together. I really wanted to watch Prince of Persia but I didn't send out the Netflix disc in time to get it til Monday. :(

So just two more weeks til I get to schedule classes. I am still very excited about school. I just hate how slow the process for everything is. I need to see what credits transfer still and I need to get my financial aid in order. I called today to see how much the fees are going to be. She said with 7 hours of classes (that is 3 classes for me, I know the one class I want to take it is a one hour credit) it is around $700. That is way more than anyone has told me it would be. I am so glad I filled out my FAFSA.

Life. I hate cleaning. Before I met the Hubby I was clean. My home/room whatever was clean. When younger I kept our home clean. Every room. Laundry. Everything. I am broken now. I don't care. I care when people are coming over but it just doesn't happen. My kitchen is such a mess. I was thinking the other day, how much would someone charge me for them to clean it. I try to do small jobs and then I don't do it. I don't know how to get out of this not caring.

Ok so I have finished two books from two different series. :)

I really like the first series. It has a lot of vampires from different countries, many from Scotland, and they wear kilts. Its really a good series. I wish the library had all the books in the series. I got the first one from the Hubby, he bought it from the bookstore. :) This book is called The Forbidden Nights with a Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks. Usually these books are more about the man finding the woman to love but in this one it was more about the woman, It was a nice switch.

The second book is from Laurell K. Hamilton. I was reading her Anita Blake series and found this Meredith Gentry series. I could not imagine more sex from the Anita Blake series but I found more sex in this series. It is not about vampires (I know you just gasped from the shock) but it is about fae. It is a really good series, I believe this is the third book in the series, Seduced by Moonlight. The only thing I didn't like in this book is the detail. Sometimes it is just too much. In this book you were introduced to a lot of people and she describes every single one in detail. It can just get a little too long. But I love the story and I like how her stories flow right into the next book and I am glad I have many books to read. I am going to hate to read the last book and then have to wait for the next. :)

Reading

So just finished The Dark Hunter Companion by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Oh my gosh this has so much information, it took me forever to finish. I did not read all the lists of gods, people, dark hunters, etc. There were just too many and they are explained in the stories so it doesn't matter. I liked the Q & A with Acheron. It was hard to get into this cause it's placement is like five books back, so a lot that has happened had not happened in this book. One of the funniest things in the book is a journal from a Dark Hunter. It is in a timeline form and it is hilarious. You do get more information and a few excerpts from a couple books. Great book, just a lot of information to take in. Now finishing up another series. It's good to get through the series instead of going back and forth between several. Oh yeah, this also gave me several short stories that I haven't read yet for the Dark Hunter Series. Now I have to find them. :)

This Week.

So this week, let's see what happened. Monday, I had dinner with Adam Richman from Man v Food. It was really awesome. He is a great conversationalists. Then we went to see his lecture. It was awesome looking at where certain food comes from. He was awesome. Instead of going to the after party for chocolate covered bacon (not sure about that) we went to a MEGA broomball game. On Tuesday, we got up early to vote before work. I didn't even watch the results but I did vote. :) That evening we watched Brian play hockey with his team Duck Butter. They made it to the playoffs. YEAH! On Friday, we went to another MEGA event. This one was the Button Mashing Contest. It was so much fun. Its really funny to watch people play games that they have no clue how to play. Today, we went to two MEGA broomball games. I believe they were the last of the fall season. The winter season will be starting soon.

So at tonights broomball game the Hubby decided he was going to go out on the ice. I cringed every time he fell. It is not something I enjoyed watching, especially when he began running on the ice.

Quinn is getting on my nerves more and more. I love her and she can be so cute and a really good dog. But when JS is not home she will whine for hours. When he is home, she doesn't have to be touching him but needs to be in the same room. When he comes home to take a nap, she whines even more. Cause he is home and she can not be with him. It is slowly driving me crazy. Hopefully when he gets his time off for Thanksgiving and Christmas she will get enough of him to last a little while.

Money Money Money. That seems to be all I think about. I am hoping to get this money from the lawsuit soon but it could take awhile. I am hoping I get as much as I am supposed to. I have plans for that money and we could really use it right now. I am just so tired of nor having money. It has never been this bad before.

I think I have told everyone about getting back into school :) Everyone is so excited. I am very excited. I just hope I can get some good classes and get all my classes transferred (that can transfer). I know one class I want to take but it is only 10 weeks and one credit. We'll see what happens. So far I have gotten my banner number, paid my enrollment fee, got my email account, and signed up for my advisor session. It's taking so long. :(

This Week :) (I am late with this blog)

So this week, let me see. On Tuesday, I got my acceptance email to Miami University, then I had to wait on the acceptance packet with more information. On Wednesday, our bank account went negative :( then I got paid early :) and the Reds tickets were finally refunded so by Thursday the account was back to positive with no fee (THANK YOU). Thursday I went to hubby's boss's baby shower. It was a lot of fun with baby games I had never played before. Very good food too. :) After the shower, I went to RedHawk Chef which was a lot of fun. It was really cool with the special ingredient being apples and each team had to do dishes from a certain country. And there was only a slight fire. :) On Friday, went to the MEGA Halloween party and took lots of pictures. I think I took more pics of Brian than any one else. :) He looked so sad but it was the makeup weighing down his face. After the party, we went to the AfterDark Night at the Rec. I was so tired, I didn't last there very long. I ate and then walked around the track for a few and then went home to sleep. Sunday was Halloween so we went to MEGA's broomball game. Then gave out candy at home. It was so much fun but very cold. We ran out before trick or treat was over.

Getting accepted to Miami was an awesome day. There was a tornado warning for a couple hours so I really couldn't tell anyone except those around me. :) But the hubby finally heard after he picked me up from work. We didn't have a celebratory meal until Sunday. Went to Fiesta Charra, first time since they moved. Still good. :) Everyone has been excited for me. I called my mom while she was at work, she was at their customer service desk and screamed. :) Good day.

The bank account was just so annoying. ugh! didn't know what to do, so I asked to be paid two days early. And it wasn't a problem but not something I will do unless absolutely necessary. We got it fixed though. It was stupid ESPN Magazines fault.

The shower was fun. I knew between 1/4 and 1/2 the people there. She almost didn't open my present, it was placed behind her. :( But she liked it. It was of course something from the Reds. Very cute outfit with a baseball heart on the bottom. :) Came with booties and a bib.

RedHawk Chef was cool. Hubby found out how to make a quick chicken tortilla soup. Hopefully, we can make that sometime soon. And I got to show people how to eat a cupcake :) I was really proud of myself. You take the cupcake out of the paper, tear it in half and place the bottom on top. So you have like a cupcake sandwich. You don't get icing on your face. :)

Reading

I just finished Undead and Unfinished by MaryJanice Davidson. I could not put this one down once I got into the story. After reading the epilogue it gave me the chills. This book changes the whole series and makes me want to read more. I hate that the next book doesn't come out till July of next year. Wow. I don't know if I can sleep cause the end is just so creepy. Oh my gosh. So now to the Dark Hunter Companion but next couple days are busy so we will see how far I can get.

Just finished Undead and Unwelcome by MaryJanice Davidson. I really liked this book. It has werewolves in it :) Not that some of the others didn't but this one was set in their home. I liked this one because it wasn't just from Betsy's POV. It was also from Marc's POV via his journal which was pretty cool. Just one more book in the series (for now). Gonna start it probably tonight but Hubby is on his way home. :) Quinn is very excited to see him.

This Week

Not a lot happened this week. Went to broom ball on Tuesday. MEGA Meeting on Wednesday. Thursday went to the Homecoming Pig Roast, I had a hamburger :) Sunday had a hockey game and broom ball game to go to. Hubby and I actually got some cleaning on the house done. The living room looks great. That is all I had on my calendar. :)

In financial crisis right now. We have 2.77 in the bank. Get paid on Friday, thank goodness. The lawsuit I am in is ending so we should see some money from that, but who knows when we will get it. :( Thinking of selling some of my collections. Hubby told me to really think about it but they sit in our basement because there is no where to display them. Someone has reds stuff everywhere :) You would think getting paid on Friday would be a great thing but all the money is spoken for. I wish we could just go out shopping for something, anything and not have to worry about how much I have to spend or what I need to move around to purchase this.

School still hasn't responded about the enrollment of me. Dude said a few days but their official email said it could take up to six weeks to make a decision. :( That is a long time to wait. And this is another financial thing I can't think about right now. :(

Wow this blog is really sad. :( Didn't go to the library until Sunday but I got three new books. Two are from the Betsy series, the other is the Dark Hunter Companion. Started the next Betsy, we'll see how this one goes.

Finished Undead and Unworthy by MaryJanice Davidson last night. I think she may be running out of things to write about. Got two more books in the series to read but what could they be about. Everything is wrapped up. This one wasn't as good. It went way too fast, cramming a long story into a shorter format. Off to the library to pick up three more books. :) Love the library. Reading what I want for free.

Read Undead and Uneasy by MaryJanice Davidson yesterday. Those books go by so fast. Gonna try to read the other one I have today but we will see. Betsy, the main character, is hilarious. She really only cares about herself and how things will make her feel. Like her best friend has cancer and she only thinks about how she feels about losing her friend. In the story, she just thinks and thinks while other people talk so she really doesn't listen to them all that well and she is so sarcastic. I really like this series. Its the Queen Betsy (Undead) Series. A quick but good read. Just three more books to finish the series.

This Week :)

Got sick over last weekend so missed work on Tuesday, but worked the rest of the week. Went to watch Resident Evil and eat at Applebee's (with Karaoke) on Thursday. Got paid Friday, so Hubby got us Dominos pizza, it was delicious mmmmmmmmm. We got a philly cheesesteak pizza and a 6 cheese pizza. They were both amazing. They are really making their pizzas better. On Saturday, we went to the dog park with Hubby's boss and grand boss. Quinn had fun getting petted by the people and hiding/running from the other dogs. :) That evening we went to a game launch event for Just Dance 2 on the Wii. I won a copy of Just Dance 1 and 2. :) Hubby still hasn't put the Wii in the living room though. :( I can't Just Dance in the bedroom, there isn't enough room.

So last week I turned in all my stuff to go back to school but on there site it says they have only gotten my application. :( I am gonna go check again.

Nope, still haven't gotten everything. The guy I am working with was gone from work until today, so hopefully I can get in touch with him and get all this finished. I have no idea what classes I want to take. I just don't wanna start looking and then I can't go to school for some reason.

I don't think Quinn pooped in the house at all this week. :) She has been puking and I really hate that.

Decided to finally clean something the other day. Hubby was gone (again), so I decided to clean up in the kitchen. And when I say clean I mean something other than dishes and laundry. I cleaned off the top of the fridge and have a baggy of coke caps for a certain someone. :) I threw away a bunch of stuff, including the plant I killed  that I got in January from my dad's funeral. It took a really long time to die though. But I decided it was time for it to go. Now I just need to clean the top with cleaners and a scrubber. I am gonna try to clean something everyday, cause if we are gonna have people over in the beginning of November, I need to get started.

Read the first book of Chronicles of Nick (Dark Hunter Series). The next one comes out in February of 2011. It was a great book about when Nick first came into the Dark Hunter world. Now I am going to read more of the Undead series. I think I am on Undead and Uneasy. I really like how sarcastic the lead character is. She is the vampire queen and very funny. Probably start that today since Hubby is gone till 9 pm.

This Week.

Events: This week has went so quick. Worked Monday through Friday. Wednesday, watched the Reds lose and the MEGA Broomball team play. Thursday we went to Game On, a very funny play that made me laugh but also think. Friday watched the Reds lose again. Saturday stayed home from Grand Prix to do almost all the laundry. It's nice having clean sheets. And today watched the Reds lose for the third and final time this year. It seems so eventful a week but really it wasn't. :( 


Today though I finally finished my essays for the college application. Wrote one with Dad in it. Not sure how it sounds cause I just kept crying. I hope they will accept me and then accept all my class credits that can be transferred. Going to fill it out online tomorrow after work, after Hubby can read and critique my work. 


Due to the Reds loss, I am very relieved. That saves me some money and we get money back. I wanted them to win so Hubby could go to more games but in the back of my mind I thought about how much easier it would be if they didn't win. 


Reading the last two books in the Dark Hunter series, Bad Moon Rising and No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I really like this series. I decided to read books as series instead of reading several series at once. Keeping things straight was getting difficult. Finished Bad Moon Rising yesterday and half way through No Mercy today. 


Quinn has been an odd puppy this week. She keeps pooping in the house, used to be just the living room, this week she pooped in the kitchen and our bedroom. I think she misses Hubby a lot. She whines for him when he isn't here, today it was forever with her whining. She finally curled next to me and slept.


Well, we will see what next week brings. Definitely some MEGA events next week but not sure what else.
